Privacy
Last updated: September 28, 2026. This page covers the navigatek.com site. Navigatek Meteo, which has accounts, has its own policy.
Disclaimer
Navigatek is a decision-support tool. Neither this site nor its products replace the official forecasts and warnings of Environment and Climate Change Canada or of your country's weather service. The decision to go out on the water, and safety on board, remain the skipper's.
What we keep
When you visit this site: nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no form that sends us anything, no analytics and no advertising.
What your browser keeps, on your side
- the language you chose;
- if you install the site as an app, a copy of a few pages and images, so that it opens without a network.
This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can erase it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies: no session, advertising or analytics cookies.
When you write to us
The “Contact”, “Subscribe” and “Unsubscribe” buttons of the watch open your mail app with a ready message; nothing is sent from the page. If you send that message, we receive your email address, your name if it appears, your message and, for the watch, the topics you chose.
We use it to answer you and, if you subscribe, to send you the watch. This information is never sold, rented or used for advertising.
Who else sees data pass through
- Cloudflare hosts the site: it carries the traffic, sees your IP address and keeps technical logs for a limited time;
- Google provides the home page's fonts: your browser downloads them from Google, which therefore sees your IP address;
- your email provider and ours carry the messages you send us;
- links to other sites (LinkedIn, press articles, etc.) take you to them, under their own rules.
These companies may process this data in a country other than yours.
The products
Each product that keeps data says so where the data is collected. Navigatek Meteo details what it keeps about your account in its privacy policy. Navigatek Juge states on its start screen that the boats' tracks also serve, aggregated and anonymous, to learn the wind on the water; no boat name leaves it.
Retention and deletion
Your emails are kept for the length of our exchange or of your subscription. To unsubscribe, use the “Unsubscribe” button or write to us. To have what we received from you erased, write to info@navigatek.com.
Your rights
Depending on the law where you live (for example PIPEDA in Canada or the GDPR in the European Union), you can ask to see your information, correct it or have it deleted. You can also withdraw your consent at any time.
Contact
Person responsible for personal information: Tania Genzardi — info@navigatek.com. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can contact the data protection authority of your country (in Canada: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada).
